Photos of out trip to Winnemucca Lake - along were Bill W, Lori ., Sydney W (the dog), Ken H, Dan and Charlene S, and Jackie N ( a friend). The snow patch was part way up the trail to Round Top. The hike started at Carson Pass, went past Frog's Lake and on to Winnemucca Lake where we caught this view (about 2.5 miles in). Then we hiked to Round Top Lake (another short mile) and while there the skies opened up with a brief but soaking rain shower. We were safely under the trees (sort of) and decided to hike out through Woods Lake (all downhill for 2 miles). We had left a second car there in case we took that route. The wildflowers were certainly out but not as prolific as other years. It was still a great hike ending with a snack at the Kirkwood Inn.
